Local Destinations: Cebu

A modern metropolis, Cebu is the business hub of the south but remains genteel and laid-back. With world-class hotels, golf courses and shopping malls, it’s a great place to mix business with pleasure. As the Philippines’ oldest city, it has a wealth of historical treasures, including Magellan’s Cross and the Basilica Minore del Santo Nino. The famous Sinulog festival in January is, in fact, dedicated to the Santo Nino. From Cebu, you can also travel to some of the best dive spots in the country and various white-sand beaches.
