Cebu Pacific Useful Travel Information: Travel Guidelines
• Check-in Guidelines
Cebu Pacific counters open two (2) hours before Estimated Time of Departure (ETD) and closes forty five (45) minutes before published departure time. It is highly recommended that you be at the airport terminal at least two (2) hours for domestic and three (3) hours for international, before flight departure to avoid delay and finish all necessary formalities before boarding.
Domestic flights leaving Manila utilize the Manila Domestic Passenger Terminal 1 at Domestic Road, Pasay City.
International flights leaving Manila utilize the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) International Passenger Terminal 1 at MIA Road, Paranaque City.
• Boarding Guidelines
You must be at the boarding gate at least thirty (30) minutes before the scheduled departure time.
Cebu Pacific practices allocated seating. Priority for boarding is given to the handicapped, elderly and those traveling with children.
Guests seated Rows 1 to 15 shall board using the front door; while guests seated Rows 16 and above shall use the rear door (for selected airports).
• Flight Connections
Cebu Pacific is a point-to-point carrier and will not be liable for any misconnections brought about by delays and cancellations.
Guest and baggage will be checked only up to the sector for which you have checked in. Guests with connecting flights are required to claim all baggage and clear through Immigration and Customs in all airports and recheck-in to their connecting flight.
However, Cebu Pacific offers connections within Cebu Pacific’s network and are sold as such. Only guests on these flight connections with a single fare will be considered connecting guests and will be treated as such. Guests who may have bought connecting flights but not under a single fare (that is, build their own flights) will be treated on a per sector basis.
• Baggage
Guests are allowed free baggage allowance of 20 kg. (except for destinations with runway limitation which may require less than 20 kg baggage allowance) which covers personal effects, sports equipment and/or other paraphernalia subject to the conditions and limitations contained in Cebu Pacific’s Terms and Conditions of Carriage. These include sports equipment, musical instrument etc.
Cebu Pacific allows guests to carry one (1) piece of Hand Baggage to be carried on board provided that it does not exceed the dimensions 55cm x 40cm x 20cm (for Airbus) and provided that it does not weigh more than 7 kg. Hand Baggage must fit under the seat in front of you or in the overhead bin. Contents of which can only be personal effects and can be readily opened for inspection.
In addition to the free baggage allowance, these articles may be carried free provided they remain in the guest’s custody during the flight:
a) ladies handbag, pocketbook or purse;
b) overcoat wrap or blanket;
c) small camera and/or a pair of binoculars;
d) reasonable amount of reading material for the flight;
e) infant’s food for consumption in-flight, infant’s carrying basket;
f) a pair of crutches and/or braces or other prosthetic device for the guest’s use
An infant’s carrying basket, guest’s fully collapsible wheelchair, crutches, braces, or prosthetic devices may be carried in the aircraft cargo compartment instead of in the guest cabin free of charge in addition to the free baggage allowance.
• Prohibited Goods
The following items are not allowed for carriage:
a) inflammable liquids and solids (such as paints, thinners etc)
b) corrosive materials (such as acid, mercury etc)
c) toxic and infectious substances
(such as rat poison, viruses, bacteria etc)
d) oxidizing materials (such as bleaches etc)
e) radioactive materials (such as radium etc)
f) compressed gases (such as liquid nitrogen etc)
• Electronic Devices
For safety reasons, operation of electronic equipment such as mobile phones, laptop computers, portable recorders, portable radios, CD players, electronic games or transmitting devices, including radio-controlled toys and walkie-talkies may be forbidden or limited.
• On-board Buys
Cebu Pacific sells Cebu Pacific merchandise on-board for reasonable prices. Items sold are bags, shirts, eyewear, Cebu Pacific collector’s items etc. Cebu Pacific accepts US dollar and the local currency of the country Cebu Pacific is flying from/to.
• On-board Eats
To give Cebu Pacific’s guests more food and drink choices, Cebu Pacific offers food items for sale on-board such as mineral water, soda, beer, coffee, sandwiches, chips, cup noodles etc. Cebu Pacific accepts US dollar and the local currency of the country Cebu Pacific is flying from/to.
• Unaccompanied Children
Cebu Pacific does not accept for carriage unaccompanied children below four (4) years old unless they are accompanied by a guest of at least eighteen years of age.
Children aged four (4) to twelve (12) years old may be accommodated on the flight provided that they pay the Unaccompanied Minor Handling Fee of PhP500 + VAT per sector per unaccompanied minor for domestic and present complete valid and necessary documents.
• Guests Needing Special Assistance
Please contact Cebu Pacific’s Call Center at (+632) 70-20-888 for bookings of incapacitated guests, guests with illness or other guests requiring special assistance like Expectant Mothers, Unaccompanied Minor etc., as these require prior arrangement with us.
Cebu Pacific may charge a fee for providing these special requirements at selected airports (such as provision of an Incapacitated Passenger Lift at Singapore Budget Terminal priced at USD130).
• Firearms Handling
Prior check-in, a Firearms Handling Fee of PhP500 will be collected for handling of firearms and ammunition at domestic airports.
For international travel, firearms and ammunition will be refused carriage.
• Live Animals Acceptance
Live animals are accepted through Cebu Pacific’s Cargo Services. Please contact them at (+632) 851-4126 for arrangement.

• Denied Boarding Compensation
In the event that Cebu Pacific refuses you carriage due to overbooking, Cebu Pacific shall provide you with the following compensation:
a) Monetary compensation of PhP150 for guests on domestic flights
b) Roundtrip travel voucher
c) Amenities such as meals, hotel accommodation etc only if applicable
You will be entitled to the above compensation if the following conditions are met:
a) you are at the check-in counter before the counter closes 45 minutes before scheduled departure time
b) you are holding a revenue ticket
c) you are eligible to take the flight pursuant to the Terms and Conditions of Carriage
d) you are holding a confirmed booking
• Baggage Settlement
Liability for loss, or damaged baggage is limited unless a higher value is declared in advance and additional charges are paid.
For domestic travel, the liability limit is approximately PhP40 per kg for Checked Baggage.
For international travel, the liability limit is approximately USD20 per kg for Checked Baggage.
• Flight Disruptions – Delays and Cancellations
In the event that your Cebu Pacific flight is cancelled Cebu Pacific will reschedule you free of charge to the next available Cebu Pacific flight and issue you a one-way Travel Voucher.
Cebu Pacific does not compensate, reimburse or provide tickets for travel on other airlines and takes no responsibility whatsoever should a cancellation cause you to misconnect to another flight.
Cebu Pacific provides meal vouchers if the disruption is 2 hours and beyond.
Cebu Pacific may provide other amenities but on Cebu Pacific’s sole discretion. Cebu Pacific recommends that all guests ensure that they have suitable private travel insurance protection in force to cover such eventualities.
If your flight is rescheduled before the date of travel, Cebu Pacific shall offer rebooking to the next available Cebu Pacific flight free of charge, or Cebu Pacific may reroute you to the nearest available alternate Cebu Pacific station or offer you refund.
Changes to your reservation will be communicated via SMS, or phone call, it is the guest’s responsibility to ensure the contact numbers provided are current. Cebu Pacific takes no responsibility in the event that guests are not reached for advice.
