Cebu Pacific Opens New Regional Office

Budget Airline CebuPacific (CEB), the airline unit of JG Summit Holdings Inc., opens today its first regional office in Hong Kong at Unit 407 Mirror Tower, Mody Road, Tsimshatsui East, Kowloon as part of its regional expansion.

CEB’s Hong Kong office will facilitate ticket sales and reservations and function like customer support. The office will also be used to boost the airline’s promotion and marketing operations in Hong Kong, China, Macao, Taiwan, and Japan.

“CEB’s ticketing office will make ticket purchase and reservations more convenient to travelers, which will help strengthen Cebu Pacific’s presence in the region,” Bong Mojica, CEB General Manager, said.

CEB’s Manila-Hong Kong route will soon be serviced by the airline’s brand new 150-seater Airbus A319. The airline now uses three brand-new Airbus aircraft. It should have 14 new planes by early 2007 when it shall have completed its re-fleeting program.

The airline is scheduled to take delivery of three more A319s late this year and eight more through 2006 until early 2007. Cebu Pacific was established on August 26, 1988 (as Cebu Air), commenced operations on March 8, 1996, which is the Philippine low-cost airline.
