Local Destinations: Kalibo

Although Kalibo is sometimes regarded as a gateway to its more well-known neighbor, Caticlan/Boracay, this small province also offers a lot more than one would normally expect. The multi-awarded Bakhawan Eco-park boasts and excellent nature thrill for eco-tourists and adventurers alike. Around 80 hectares wide, the park’s main attraction is the 15-minute walkway made of bamboo which slithers through the mangrove. Trekkers are welcome as well; the Tigayon Hill and Caves are sure to be a hit in any adventure.
