Cebu Pacific Resumes Domestic Flights on June 2, Int’l Routes Still Suspended
Latest Cebu Pacific Status: Budget airline Cebu Pacific Airlines (CEB) has recently announced that it will resume partial commercial operations starting with several domestic flights on June 2, 2020. However, it reported that all international flights remain suspended from June 1 to 30, 2020.
In an advisory dated May 30, Cebu Pacific said that it “will continue to cooperate with the government’s Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), which is tasked for the anti-COVID19 effort. It is also complying with all national and local government authorities on the rules and requirements needed to resume commercial passenger flights between areas under General Community Quarantine (GCQ). All allowed flights will depart and arrive from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 (NAIA 3).”
It further advised that the government still prohibited all leisure travel. Flying passengers must first check guidelines from the IATF, and those of the local governments of origin and destination for the necessary documents.

Cebu Pacific Status updates will be provided on flight schedules from June 5 onwards as the airline prepares to “build-up its domestic flight network, depending on the following factors: market demand, quarantine restrictions, and national and local government regulations.”
It should be noted that Cebu Pacific flights have been canceled due to the imposition of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) and succeeding Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) over Metro Manila from mid-March until May 31, 2020. But since then, the airline has been preparing for the possible resumption of commercial operations.
Cebu Pacific Status: Safer Contactless Flights
Cebu Pacific has also assured that it has markedly increased various safety measures like extensive daily disinfection of its different aircraft. It also emphasized that it is sanitizing much of airport passenger surfaces such as check-in and bag drop counters and shuttle buses. It has also imposed the strict use of personal protective equipment by its crew and staff frontliners, and rapid COVID-19 testing of all its cabin crew and pilots.

Flexible Booking Options
Cebu Pacific continues to offer flexible booking or cancellation options for passengers affected by the flight cancellations from June 1 to 30, 2020. These options include any of the following: Passengers may rebook their flight for travel within three months year; passengers may place the full cost of the ticket in a Travel Fund valid for one (1) year, or they may avail of a full refund.
Passengers are advised to use the ”Manage Booking” portal in the Cebu Pacific website  to avail of any of these options.
The airline advises that the situation is fluid, and its restart operations may change as quarantine conditions evolve across its network. It reserves the right to reduce or add flights depending on passenger demand and various local, regional, and international travel restrictions.
