AirAsia Cancels Flights Amidst COVID19 Concerns
Budget carrier AirAsia cancels flights both its domestic and international flights to from Clark, Pampanga, and Manila. AirAsia said it understands the urgency of client queries related to the current health situation and any changes to their travel plans. The airline said it made it a priority to persistently work with various partner organizations, including banks, to address guests’ concerns instantly.
In an advisory, AirAsia said international flights to from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and Clark International Airport will be canceled beginning March 20 until April 14. The airline had also canceled all of its domestic flights until April 14 from both airports.
The AirAsia cancelations have been with the Philippine government’s directive imposing travel constraints as a result of the current public health situation. International airfields in Luzon have been given a 72-hour window to adapt all of the foreigners seeking to exit the country, after which all gateways from the mainland could be closed. AirAsia passengers are also advised that changes to travel plans can be made with AirAsia even after the community quarantine period, it stated. AirAsia added that the safety and well-being of their guests and Allstars is a top priority. AirAsia is complying with advice and regulations from the local authorities, civil aviation companies, international/local health agencies, including the World Health Organization, it stated.
