Cebu Pacific Carry-On Baggage Policy

Cebu Pacific baggage Rules 2022: updated policies on carry-on baggage. As of November 1, 2012, Cebu Pacific passengers are allowed to bring on only one carry-on luggage per passenger, with a maximum weight of 7.0 kilograms and a dimensional length of 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm (or a total of 115 cm) is permitted inside the cabin. This includes most wheeled cabin bags and backpacks. The carry-on baggage must fit within the overhead bin and must be stored by the passenger.

Passengers’ carry-on luggage must be placed in front of the passenger or within an enclosed storage area in the cabin. Hand luggage that cannot be placed in such a manner is too heavy, or is larger than normal traveling bags must be carried as checked baggage for safety reasons.

Passengers are responsible for ensuring that their carry-on luggage is well packed and placed in a safe and secure location to avoid or minimize loss or damage. Only valuable and fragile items (such as cash, cameras, video equipment that meets the requirements for carry-on baggage, negotiable papers, jewelry, precious metals, silverware, computers) may be carried on board the aircraft as carry-on baggage. Passengers must inform the cabin crew of the contents’ value and fragility so that proper attention can be paid.

Update: Passengers who do not declare any check-in bags during check-in but are discovered to be carrying more than the allowed and permissible piece count, size, and weight of cabin luggage will be charged and levied a Gate Baggage Fee beginning September 1, 2021.

Cebu Pacific Checked-In Baggage Policy

Because checked baggage is not included in Cebu Pacific fares for all flights, passengers should consider purchasing a Prepaid Baggage Allowance:

  • From March 2022, there will be a maximum of one (1) baggage item per 20kg or 32kg. For 40kg, only one (1) piece and two (2) pieces will be allowed.
  • The Prepaid Baggage Allowance is available at the time of booking and during Manage Booking up to 2 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • The maximum weight of each checked baggage piece is 32 kg, and none of the luggage should be fragile or precious.
  • The cost of any extra weight, size, or pieces is subject to the Oversized Baggage Fee, Excess Baggage Fee, and/or Extra Bag Fee, as applicable.
  • Manual wheelchairs, crutches, walkers (for personal use), and baby strollers are all free if traveling with an infant.
  • Check-in and hand carry are restricted for a number of hazardous substances, including batteries, flammable materials (including liquids), sharp objects, glass containers with a lid that does not latch securely, weapons or ammunition (including guns), explosives or fireworks (including firecrackers). Cebu Pacific Checked-In Baggage Fees

Prepaid Baggage Allowances may be purchased online or through call centers and sales offices. This can be purchased up to one hour before the scheduled time of departure for Standard baggage of up to 2 pieces with a total weight of 20 kg.

One can purchase up to three pieces with a total weight of 32 kg for big baggage or up to four pieces with a total weight of 40 kg for extra-large luggage if purchased prior to four hours before the scheduled departure time. The cost will differ based on size and overall weight.

After check-in, Prepaid Baggage Allowances may not be purchased. Per passenger, one Prepaid Baggage option is permitted in each sector. Although they are non-refundable and non-refundable, they may not be stored in a Travel Fund. It is strictly prohibited to downgrade the Prepaid Baggage Allowance.

If you exceed the Prepaid Baggage Allowance, checked baggage in excess of the Pre-Paid Baggage Allowance purchased will be charged at standard Excess Baggage Fees per kilogram upon check-in at the airport. Manual wheelchairs, crutches (for personal use), and baby strollers are carried for free.

Cebu Pacific Special Baggage Policy

Sports Equipment

Musical Instruments or Religious Items

Musical instruments and sacred or religious articles may be taken aboard provided these fit within cabin dimensions of up to 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm and weigh no more than seven kilograms. These will be part of the passenger’s carry-on baggage allowance, which is only allowed one item per passenger. If the good surpasses these allowable dimensions and piece restrictions allowed, the passenger will need to purchase an additional seat for such at the airport.

Weapons, Ammunition, and Other Firearms

Cebu Pacific Airlines does allow firearms in checked baggage on all domestic flights for an extra charge. Passengers who bring their personal weapons must be prepared to show the following documents at any time that they are requested by authorities.

  • Acceptable forms of identification include government-issued IDs and service/agency ID.
  • A valid firearms license
  • A valid Permit to Carry Firearms
  • For firearms not covered by the former and for Gun Club Members, a valid Permit to Transport Firearms and Ammunition

Active members of law-enforcement agencies and uniformed personnel are not required to pay the fee as long as they have a Valid Mission Order.
