Philippine Airlines Requirements for Passengers Departing from Manila Reminders:

Last updated: March 02, 2021: Philippine Airlines and its passengers shall strictly observe the following in all airport facilities and onboard the aircraft:

a. Mandatory wearing of face masks and face shields.

b. Mandatory use of the Traze Mobile Application to generate and scan their QR code when entering in, boarding from, and upon arriving in all Philippine Airports starting November 28, 2020, as mandated by the Philippine Department of Transportation. Click here to download and know more about the Traze App.

c. Registration to PAL’s Passenger Profile and Health Declaration Form as early as 5 days before departure and securing required travel and health documents of the destination.

d . Mandatory physical and social distancing and minimum contact at all times at the airport and onboard the aircraft. 

Philippine Airlines shall do its best to observe social distancing measures inside the aircraft, subject to space availability. Family members and individuals travelling together as part of the same household may still choose to be seated together..

e. Mandatory public safety announcements. 

f. Strict compliance on safety procedures in handling of (suspected) ill passengers on board, which include keeping the last three (3) rows of the plane vacant as isolation area. 

g. Regular sanitation and disinfection of airline facilities and equipment, and in coordination with the airport authorities, all airport facilities and equipment, including lavatories, frequently touched surfaces, wheelchairs, trolleys, countertops, etc.; Daily first aid stocks available on board the aircraft.

Per PAL’s Conditions of Carriage, the passenger is solely responsible for verifying and complying with all applicable government laws/regulations of all countries to be flown from, to or through. PAL shall not be liable for the passenger’s failure to comply with said laws/regulations, or for any aid or information given here or by a PAL agent or employee in connection with said laws/regulations.

Philippine Airlines COVID Travel Requirements Arriving in Manila Reminders:

Due to the evolving COVID-19 situation, PAL and the Philippine Government have issued precautionary measures, mandatory protocols and requirements for travelers. For passengers in international flights to the Philippines, please be guided on new arrival and quarantine procedures in Manila, Cebu, and Clark.

We encourage all passengers to follow the guide, register in advance and pre-book their hotels as necessary to avoid any inconvenience and experience faster processing upon arrival. 

To ensure everyone’s health and safety, Philippine Airlines and its passengers shall strictly observe the following in all airport facilities and onboard the aircraft:

  1. Mandatory wearing of face masks and face shields.
  2. Mandatory registration to Case Investigation Forms depending on the traveler’s type and port of entry (Manila, Cebu, Clark).
  3. Mandatory use of the Traze Mobile Application to generate and scan their QR code when entering in, boarding from, and upon arriving in all Philippine Airports starting November 28, 2020, as mandated by the Philippine Department of Transportation. Click here to download and know more about the Traze App.
  4. Mandatory temperature checks, use of foot baths, and disinfection/sanitation facilities.
  5. Mandatory physical and social distancing and minimum contact at all times and in all places within the airport premises, and during all procedures, from check-in, boarding, inflight, disembarking to retrieving of check-in baggage.
  6. Mandatory public safety announcements before closing of doors and during flight for cabin and health security protocols.
  7. Strict compliance with safety procedures on handling of suspected/ill passengers on board, which include keeping the last three (3) seat rows of the plane vacant as isolation area for suspected ill passengers already on board.
  8. Regular sanitation and disinfection of all airline facilities and equipment, and in coordination with the airport authorities, all airport facilities and equipment, including lavatories, frequently touched surfaces, wheelchairs, trolleys, countertops, etc.; Daily first aid stocks available on board the aircraft.

Cebu Pacific COVID Travel Requirements Arriving in Manila Reminders:

Under existing government protocols, all Philippine-bound guests are required to go through the following procedures:

Effective 01 February 2021, the Philippine government has lifted the ban on travelers from over 30 countries and regions. Filipino citizens and foreign nationals may enter the country, provided that you have valid and existing visa at the time of entry. Those qualified under the Balikbayan program under RA 6768 are exempted.

For Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs):

  • Update your contact information and destination address online before your flight to get flight reminders and updates.
  • Before departing from your origin, Land-based OFWs must fill out the E-CIF online at https://c19.redcross.org.ph/arriving-passengers while Sea-based OFWs/Seafarers must register at https://ecif.firstaide.ph/pre#/ to secure your QR code.
  • Upon arrival in Manila, briefing shall be conducted by the Philippine Coast Guard. Likewise, instructions and next steps regarding your accommodation and transfers shall be given
  • On Day 6, the Philippine Coast Guard will conduct the RT-PCR (swab) test at the hotel/quarantine facility. Upon receipt of negative test result online, please coordinate with OWWA (for land-based OFWs) or your respective Local Manning Agency (for sea-based OFWs/seafarers) for the succeeding steps.

For Non-OFWs/Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) or Foreign Nationals:

  • Update your contact information and destination address via Manage Booking online before your flight to get flight reminders and updates.
  • Before you depart from your origin, pre-register for your mandatory RT-PCR (swab) test at www.padlab.ph/DLS/PassengerCIF and save the QR code. This will be presented to the OSS (One Stop Shop) upon arrival in the Philippines.
  • Have a ready cash of Php 4,000.00 for payment of RT-PCR (swab) test. Guests must also prepare for additional expenses, such as hotel accommodation, food, and transportation among others.
  • Pre-book your accommodation at a Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ)-accredited hotel/facility for at least six (6) nights beginning on your arrival date. List of quarantine hotel can be found here. Failure to show a hotel booking confirmation shall be denied entry.
  • On Day 6, get your RT-PCR (swab) test at the quarantine facility by the assigned COVID-19 Private laboratory.
  • Upon receipt of negative RT-PCR result via email, expect to receive the Bureau of Quarantine Health Certificate indicating actual number of days on quarantine. Present yourself to the quarantine hotel facility in-charge with your documents for clearance.
  • Once cleared, avail of authorized transportation means to your final destination and immediately report to your barangay officials for accounting and instructions. Complete home quarantine at the barangay for the remaining balance until the required 14 days or as your LGU instructs.

Additional Requirements for guests from Japan:

  • All foreign nationals and OFWs living in Japan and flying to Manila from any port in Japan, are required to secure departure clearance from the Immigration Services Agency of the Japan government’s Ministry of Justice.   • For land and sea-based OFWs, who are OWWA members, please make sure to register at https://oasis.owwa.gov.ph/
