Philippine Airlines Flights to Saudi Arabia Resume
Philippine Airlines Resumed flights to Saudi Arabia from Manila starting last January 4, 2021. The resumption of flights was made possible after the Saudi government lifted a temporary suspension of international flights to and from the country.
The national flag carrier advised all non-Saudi citizens that they should submit a negative RT-PCR test from government-accredited laboratories in the Philippines upon arrival into the kingdom. The test is required for all passengers who are nine years old and above. The laboratory tests should be done within 72-hours before departure to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). And upon arrival in the kingdom, all passengers are required to undergo a seven-day home quarantine.
All non-Saudi citizens flying from or transiting from any country that is positive for the new COVID-19 strain must undergo no less than 14 days in quarantine in the origin country before coming to KSA.
However, Saudi nationals and, in some instances of humanitarian and urgent reasons are exempted from these requirements. Nevertheless, such passengers are mandated to undergo the 14-day home quarantine after arriving in KSA.
Travel requirements for Philippine Airlines flight from Saudi to Manila will follow the travel requirements when arriving in Manila as updated in December 2020.
