Philippine Airlines Ramps Up Flights To Laoag, Iloilo, And Dumaguete

The country’s flag carrier, the Philippine Airlines (PAL), ramps up flights to the cities of Laoag, Iloilo, and Dumaguete in the light of improving the COVID-19 situation in the country.

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has increased the number of weekly flights to Laoag to five. Flights from Manila to Laoag, as well as vice versa, are offered on a weekly basis, every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Previously, only a twice-a-week flight schedule covered the same route.

The addition of new flights suggests that demand for travel is gradually increasing, as Ilocos Norte was lowered to the most permissive COVID-19 Alert Level 1. The provincial government claims that with the extra flights, it will be easier for people, particularly tourists, to visit the province.

On the other hand, PAL also recently announced that it will be adding more daily flights from Manila to Iloilo starting February 25, 2022; and to Dumaguete starting March 1, 2022. The airline is anticipating serving more passengers with additional flight options to and from Iloilo as well as Dumaguete.

Effective from February 25, 2022 (Friday), PAL passengers may choose from three daily PAL flights between Manila and Iloilo, or a total of 21 weekly flights. The complete schedule of Manila to Iloilo flights are as follows:

PR 2141 Manila to Iloilo, Daily: departing at 08:15 AM
PR 2143 Manila to Iloilo, Daily: departing at 01:25 PM
PR 2145 Manila to Iloilo, Daily: departing at 04:50 PM

The complete schedule of Iloilo to Manila flights are as follows:

PR 2142 Iloilo to Manila, Daily: departing at 10:20 AM
PR 2144 Iloilo to Manila, Daily: departing at 03:20 PM
PR 2146 Iloilo to Manila, Daily: departing at 06:55 PM

As for Manila to Dumaguete flights, effective last March 1, 2022, the number of flights has been increased to twice-daily flights. This is a more than 130 percent increase in available seats on this crucial route.
