PAL COVID Testing Center Offers Faster Test Result, Lower Prices for Returning OFWs
PAL COVID Testing Center offers overseas Filipino workers flying via Philippine Airlines from the Middle East will secure their free RT-PCR test results within 24 hours after arriving in Manila.
From December 21 – 31, 2020, land-based OFWs and their dependents leaving from Dubai, Doha, Dammam, Riyadh, and Bahrain can now avail of PAL’s very own One-Stop-Shop (OSS) facility for their complimentary RT-PCR evaluations upon arrival. The 24-hour turnaround period for its PCR tests conducted by PAL COVID Testing Center results in a shorter quarantine isolation interval of no longer than one night compared to the 2 to 5 times averaged by other testing centers.
PAL is offering this exceptional holiday privilege exclusively for OFWs and their dependents as a means of thanking the country’s contemporary heroes so that they may make the most of the time that they spend with their families throughout the Christmas and New Year season. Tests are at no charge.
Through the OWWA or the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, the Philippine Government will continue to take care of the quarantine hotel lodging of all arriving OFWs.
To avail, passengers on these flights need to register to PAL’s electronic Case Analysis Form (eCIF) as early as three (3) days before departure.
The Philippine Airlines OSS facility located at the Terminal 2 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) is operated under a partnership with Detoxicare Molecular Diagnostics, a DOH-accredited laboratory.
Sea-based OFWs and salespeople will also enjoy free RT-PCR tests run by a different lab testing facility in NAIA Terminal 2.
On the other hand, OFWs flying on PAL from Manila to Dubai inclusive of the dates of December 21 to 31, the carrier is also offering a special RT-PCR evaluation price at the PAL COVID Testing Center for only PHP 2,000 through PAL COVID Testing Center in the PAL Learning Center in Ermita, Manila. Test results are released within one day.
To avail, and upon entering the testing center, OFWs and their dependents must present their ID, PAL ticket together with all the MNL-DXB flight, QR code after enrolling via PAL’s PPHD, and documents demonstrating employment overseas such as a valid visa or an OEC or Employment Overseas Certificate.
Philippine Airlines likewise reminds all passengers flying to, from, or within the Philippines to download the Traze Contact Tracing program and enroll through the app before moving to the airport for their trip. This is a requirement of the Government government for international and domestic passengers, whether coming in or flying from any local airport to enable health authorities to trace and notify travelers in case of health issues.
