Here are the health and COVID travel requirements for flying into Calbayog and the Province of Samar via Calbayog Airport (CYP):

Fully Vaccinated Individuals– Valid ID
– Vaccination Card / Vaccination Certificate
Unvaccinated or Partially Vaccinated Individuals– Valid ID
– Negative RT-PCR Test Result from any DOH-accredited laboratories issued within seventy-two (72) hours
— If a Negative RT-PCR Test Result cannot be presented, said individual/s shall be required to undergo a 14-day quarantine at the IATF designated isolation facility
– Certificate/ Letter of Acceptance
– CR Test Result cannot be presented; said individual/s shall be required to undergo a 14-day quarantine at the IATF designated isolation facility.

Calbayog Travel Requirements

When traveling to Calbayog, it is mandatory for all tourists to be fully vaccinated and have a valid ID. A vaccination card must also be presented as proof of vaccination. Additionally, all unvaccinated individuals must present a valid ID as well as a negative RT-PCR Test Result from any DOH-accredited laboratories. If a Negative RT-PCR Test Result cannot be presented, said individual/s shall be required to undergo a 14-day quarantine at the IATF designated isolation facility.

All guests bound for Calbayog are required to present their COVID-19 Vaccination Card, showing full vaccination. This is applicable to minors as well. Minors can only travel to Calbayog if accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult.

Guests with comorbidities or guests who are unable to get complete vaccination due to medical considerations must also present a Medical Certificate stating that he/she is not fit to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

Calbayog Travel Requirements Updates

The city government of Calbayog in Samar province has announced that travelers will now be allowed to enter the city as long as they are fully vaccinated.

Travelers only need to present their vaccination cards as mandated under the executive order issued by Mayor Diego Rivera recently. Based on the order, travelers or guests would no longer be required to present a negative swab test result and a certificate of acceptance from the city government.

There is also no need to undergo quarantine if they are fully vaccinated. This new policy is aimed at making it easier for travelers to visit Calbayog, and boosting tourism in the city.
