Tacloban COVID-19 Health and Travel Requirements

INBOUND PASSENGERS (Returning Tacloban Residents, APOR, and Transients or Visitors)

  • Valid ID 
  • Vaccination card/certificate (except those with medical condition that prevents COVID-19 vaccination as evidenced by a signed Medical Certificate with name and contact details of the Physician and, Child/Children aged 11 years and below travelling with Parents/Adult)

The City of Tacloban does not require arriving guests to present any travel documents upon check-in. Please check with the LGU of your destination if there are specific requirements for entry.

COVID Tacloban Travel Requirements per AirAsia Philippines Advisory

All Travelers

  1. For Fully Vaccinated Individuals: Vaccination Card in lieu of Negative RT-PCR taken within 72 hours or Negative COVID Antigen Test taken within 24 hours before departure
  2. For Unvaccinated/Not Yet Fully Vaccinated Individuals: Negative RT-PCR taken within 72 hours or Negative COVID Antigen Test taken within 24 hours before departure
  3. Government issued ID / Birth Certificate (for 8 yrs old and below)
  4. Traze QR code and Safe City QR Code
  5. Coordinate with the Municipal Health Officer or Respective Barangay Chairman regarding their arrival

*For Ormoc City-bound Passengers

  1. Valid ID
  2. QR Code (safeormoc.com)
  3. Negative Antigen, Red Cross Saliva or RT-PCR test result taken within 72 hours from entry to Ormoc

*For Calbayog City-bound Passengers

  1. Negative RT-PCR test result taken within 72 hours before departure
  2. Letter of Acceptance
  3. QR Code (calbayogarc.ph)

*For Borongan City-bound Passengers

  1. Negative RT-PCR Swab test result taken 2 days prior to entry in Borongan City
  2. Valid ID
  3. QR Code via www.cityofborongan.gov.ph or safeborongan.today/login

*For Kananga, Leyte-bound Passengers

Entry of all persons in Kananga shall be allowed, but subject to strict compliance with the LGU Health Protocols

Returning Residents

  1. Coordinate with the Focal Persons of the Kananga Returning Residents Program (KRRP) within 3 days before departure to avail of free transportation from the airport of entry
  2. Register and undergo assessment at the triage designated by the Kananga Municipal Health Office

*For Palo, Leyte-bound Passengers

All Essential Travelers

  1. Undergo mandatory RT-PCR swab test on the 5th day of arrival
  2. Strict home quarantine until a negative RT-PCR test result is obtained

*For Biliran Province-bound Passengers

Returning Residents

  1. Negative RT-PCR test taken 48 hours prior to arrival at the Biliran Border
  2. Government ID

Returning Overseas Filipinos

  1. Negative RT-PCR test taken 48 hours prior to arrival at the Biliran Border
  2. Government ID

  5. Prior coordination with the LGU thru the MDRRMO
  6. Issuance of Barangay Acceptance in the barangay level
  7. Issuance of Certificate of Traveler-LGU Coordination in the municipal level

Authorized Persons Outside of Residence

  1. Valid ID
  2. Mission Order or Travel Order
  3. Secure Biliran QR Code for record of entry/exit and contact tracing
  4. LGU Certificate of Coordination
  5. Present work Return Order or Certification to that effect from the agency/company where employed

Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (Occasional/Non-frequent coming from within Region 8)

  1. Valid ID
  2. Mission Order or Travel Order
  3. Secure Biliran QR Code for record of entry/exit and contact tracing
  4. LGU Certificate of Coordination
  5. Coordinate destination LGUs and/or reeiving agencies/offices

Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (coming from outside Region 8)

  1. Valid ID
  2. Mission Order or Travel Order
  3. Secure Biliran QR Code for record of entry/exit and contact tracing
  4. LGU Certificate of Coordination
  5. Require approval from the Provincial IATF for testing and documentation

*For Southern Leyte-bound Passengers

Returning Residents from NCR Plus

  1. Negative RT-PCR (Swab or Saliva) test result taken within 3 days prior to arrival
  2. Strict 14-day home quarantine starting from the day of swabbing

Returning Residents from outside NCR Plus

  1. Strict 7-day home quarantine upon arrival
