AirAsia Flight Status Update (July 3, 2020): Following AirAsia’s resumption in the Philippines on June 5, flight schedules are currently being updated based on new developments following coordination with our partners in the government, including local government units.
The resumption of commercial services will initially be for key domestic routes and will gradually increase to include international destinations in the following months.
Select flights are open for booking via the airasia.com website and our mobile app. Guests may use their credit accounts to redeem these flights. Additional routes and flight schedules will be on the AirAsia website and mobile app, subject to approval from the authorities.
Following the government’s recent announcement, locally stranded individuals (LSIs) will not be allowed on flights going to regions 6 (Western Visayas) and 8 (Eastern Visayas) for two weeks starting June 28.
As Air Asia gradually resumes services, flying passengers are advised that commercial operations for domestic flights would be moved temporarily to NAIA Terminal 3 from its previous location at Terminal 4.
The continuing but temporary suspension of Terminal 4 operations is pending further notice by MIAA authorities.
The safety and wellbeing of guests and Allstars remain Air Asia’s top priority. AirAsia is complying with advice and regulations from the local government, civil aviation authorities, global and local health agencies, including the World Health Organization.
Guests can expect enhanced safety measures throughout the entire journey, including pre-flight, in-flight, and arrival processes. These include the mandatory wearing of face masks to be permitted to travel, amongst others. Guests are also advised to check and comply with measures implemented by local airport authorities for a smooth travel experience.

AirAsia Flight Status Update (June 16, 2020): Here is the latest advisory to AirAsia Philippines flight schedule as updated based on new developments regarding changes to quarantine classifications of the different locations of Philippine airports. As always, these Air Asia flight status updates are in coordination with its partners in the government, including local government units.
The budget airline reported that the resumption of its commercial services would initially be for crucial domestic flight routes and would gradually be ramped up to include international destinations in the following months.
AirAsia Flight Schedule Update (June 13, 2020)
AirAsia Philippines announced that it would be mounting more commercial flights as it prepares for full restoration of its operations starting June 5, 2020.
Following AirAsia’s resumption in the Philippines on 5 June, more commercial flights are being arranged as we restore our domestic network.
The resumption of services will initially be for key domestic routes and will gradually increase to include international destinations in the following months.

Latest AirAsia Flight Status Update (June 1, 2020):
AirAsia Flight Schedule Update (June 1, 2020): AirAsia Philippines announced that it would be resuming commercial operations, beginning with domestic flights, on June 3, 2020, as Metro Manila with the lifting of the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine over Metro Manila and other areas.
It should be noted that AirAsia Philippines has canceled all its domestic and international flights until May 31, 2020, in the light of the imposition of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) and the subsequent Modified ECQ over Metro Manila and other areas. All AirAsia flights were canceled, and several times the suspension was extended several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In an advisory released May 31, the budget airline said the “resumption of services would initially be for key domestic routes and would slowly be expanded to include international destinations by July 1.”

As such, selected domestic flights are now available for booking via the airline’s website or mobile application. Flying passengers can also use their account credits to redeem chosen flights.
New Normal Health Protocols
AirAsia advised guests to expect enhanced safety and health measures, including the mandatory wearing of face masks, social distancing, and hygiene etiquette, among others. Flying passengers can expect improved safety and health measures throughout the entire journey, including pre-flight, boarding, in-flight, and arrival processes.
AirAsia advises all guests to check and comply with measures implemented by local airport authorities to ensure a smooth travel experience.
Mr. Ricky Isla, AirAsia Philippines Chief Executive Officer, assured the traveling AirAsia passengers that they are “well prepared to welcome everyone aboard. He continued that “during the hibernation of our fleet, we took the time to step up our handling procedures to ensure that our guests have a swift and safe journey with us. We are well prepared to welcome everyone on board.”
The budget airline emphasizes that the safety and wellbeing of its guests, staff, and crew remain its top priority. AirAsia is strictly complying with guidelines and regulations from the local and national government, civil aviation authorities, regional and global health agencies, especially the World Health Organization (WHO).
AirAsia likewise announced that domestic flight operations would temporarily be moved to Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA3) from Terminal 4, its previous location. This terminal assignment will be in effect until further notice.
